Well yesterday all 9 of my amel eggs hatched!! Ill post pics later on.. one question.. how long do most of you wait to try and start feeding....10-12 days.. or just anytime after there first shed??

First off, congrats!

Most babies take there first meal after they have shed for the first time. I usually wait a few days to a week after their first shed to offer food. This gets them all nice and hungry so I have fewer refused meals and my babies can all be put on the same feeding schedule.

However a lot of people are in a hurry to see them eat and offer food the day after the first shed. I just think that adds a lot of extra work trying to remember who has eaten and who hasn't and when was the last time each snake has eaten.

Congrats! I waited about a week after their first shed and fed them in the little deli cups. 12 out of 15 of them ate within one hour. I just got two of the nonfeeders to eat and it has been a month, so if at first they don't eat, try, try again!
