79 days ago my little female 3 toed box turtle "Lilly" laid one single egg. Yesterday it finally started to hatch and today it left the egg. Below are a couple pictures, one of it hatching and also a nice shot of it's nicely marked shell taken today.

Wow - those are amazing photos. What a little cutie - must be tiny, too. I've never seen such a small turtle in person before - I can't even imagine the overwhelming cute-factor.

The baby easterns are doing great! All are now eating, even that one who wouldn't for the first couple months. Oddly enough she won't eat chopped up worms, which I usually use to begin with. She prefers pill bugs and other little insects I find in the woods behind my house. I am happy she is eating!
