Vision CB 70 Racks - Any Good

SPJ01 Jul 13, 2006 11:10 PM

Does anyone use these for their BP's?
I am looking for new racks and the Visions look nice but I would really like to hear from the people who have them.
Are they sturdy? Worth the money? If you have 1, would you consider buying more?
Let me know as much as you can about their racks.
Thanks a bunch.

Here at Graziani Reptiles we have switched our all of our caging over to the Vision Rack Systems. This new system is supported by six steel poles making it extremely rigid. Each level slides down the poles followed by 6 PVC spacers. The lengths of the spacers determine the space between each level. So any container that fits within the footprint of a CB-70 tray will work on this rack. If you, like so many others, are using CB-70 trays there is not a better rack system out there. Now with the new V-35 tub (half the size of the CB-70) you can house twice as many young ball pythons in the same rack. We are also using the Hatchling Racks and love them! The 18 inch shoe boxes are perfect for hatchling ball pythons. If you have any questions about the Vision Rack System feel free to contact us. The new Vision Rack System is AWESOME!!!

are the cages pretty easy to put together? I am going down to check them out at there shop in the next few days. (this girl isn't so good with putting things together)

I just had another female lay more 100% het for albino eggs, and I have some about due to hatch so I am getting in over my head with snakes and no place to put them yet.

We have changed all of our ball pythons to these Vision racks and they have not missed a beat--lots of babies this year even with changing them to totally new environments. I like the heat system of that heat cord and love the control of the humidity also. These racks are also what I am raising all of our blood pythons in!!

I just got the new Vision hatchling rack and love it. I am in the process of switching from Boaphile to the new Vision CB-70 for my adults. I love the adjustable the heat and the ventilation is perfect.

ARS has the best racks on the market at this time.I have used both and find ARS was very well thought out with the keeper /breeder in mind.Look at them both in Daytona.Terry

Terry, I believe you have an earlier model of vision rack.
Didn't you buy them last year? These new racks only came on the market a few months ago.

I would agree that ARS racks are better than the racks vision was selling a year ago, but the new vision racks with the steel poles are far superior to anything on the market today and they appear to be the least expensive racks on the market.

I think when you go to daytona, you will see firsthand what I am talking about.

The tubs getting stuck on the indents where the heat rope goes, not getting supplied with enough heat rope, maintaining humidity, adjusting temps?

robyn@ProExotics Jul 14, 2006 04:59 PM

the tubs never hang up, and even with two inches of sani chip substrate, the two pieces of supplied heat tape create PLENTY of heat, we actually have to dial it down with a rheostat.

the Ball Python rack from Vision is REALLY well done. we ordered a dozen to check them out, and since we are building a new facility this next year, we will be swapping over all of our sweater box style racking to the Vision stuff. hundreds and hundreds of cages.

they are a terrific value, super sturdy, yet super simple and well thought out.

They told me the CB 70's are in stock and usually ship the next day. They were very helpful with all of the questions.

Thanks a bunch everyone.

As much as I like the Vision racks. I built a similar rack. with a home depot racking system. Total cost with heat and all was $450.00 with tubs and heat.
