i just finished reading an old thread on another forum about tv personalities and their handling of hots. all the usual suspects
(irwin ,corwin, stevens) but nobody mentioned harry butler. he had a show called "in the wild" with harry butler. i think it was filmed in the 70s( i watched reruns for a year or so on the discovery channel about 20 years ago) he was a hilarious aussie that didnt have to try to be hilarious, but he was the best id ever seen on tv with venomous snakes. sorry for the long post, but does ANYONE remember this guy????
thanx

I think the show was called "In the Wild with Harry Butler" or something similar. I to enjoyed the show in my younger days. This was before the time of Animal Planet and all the sensationalizing boobs they have on there playing with snakes. Harry used to just walk through the woods and lift up rocks and show you what he found. Kind of low key but very interesting. He always managed to "find" some unique critter (most of them set up, I'm sure, like all TV shows)but at least he didn't feel the need to pick up snakes by the tail and fling them around!
