Yellow eyes developing on Redfoot?

Do the redfoots develop the yellow rim in the eyes as they get older? Is is the luck of the draw as to which tort develop this as they mature? My baby's eyes are lightening up around the rim. Pics don't really do it justice. And any opinions as to the sex of my baby? Thanks.
