If he ate a full meal a week ago, and is now refusing to take dinner, it could well be that he's getting ready to shed. A week is a very short time. You don't need to start worrying about him until it has been at least three or four weeks, and even then he won't be in dire trouble. I generally don't consider forcing until it has been five weeks or more.
Just make sure he has clean water, and that his premises are at the correct temp, and that he has a cosy hidey-place. If he's staying hidden almost all the time, he probably isn't hungry. Usually, when they're hungry, they start to "prowl" around the cage for at least a couple of hours in the evening, looking for dinner. That is the time to offer it. A very hungry snake, will follow the movement of your finger outside the cage, and will often even strike at your moving finger. If he isn't doing that, don't worry about him yet.
>>My baby corn snake won't eat. I got him last week, it was on monday. He ate the following day (Tuesday). He didn't throw up the mouse at all. A week has past, it's Saturday. I gave a pinkie to him on monday and he wouldn't touch it. I've tried giving him a live one and pre-killed one. I don't want to force feed him because I'm not ready for that yet (I'll do that at the last moment). PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME!
