I'm going on vacation for about 3 weeks. My friend that usually takes care of my two red eared sliders is possibly going to be out of town too. I might not need to resort to this, but does anyone have suggestions on to make some kind of self sustaining environment?

I probably won't need it but it'd be cool. I'm looking for remodeling ideas anyway.

well, If you have to you can dump in a bunch of feeder fish and get a timer for your lights.

3 weeks is a long time, what about cleaning and stuff? Is there anyway you can get someone to check on them every couple of days at least???

Yea, I think I got it. Thanx though. Uhhh and one more thing: For filters, is there a filter that allows you to have fish (so there's a cage on the filter input head) but sucks up like dead fish heads that the turtles don't feel like eating? Or is that only done manually with a net?
