He dared me to pick it up.No problem! It is very calm.

This one was relocated 1/2 mile up the road in a wooded area.My friends driveway is 20' from Rt. 220.People around here know I have an interest in snakes and often call me to remove them from their yards.I try to educate them as well.
That's not a black rat..... THIS is a BLACK rat

Great looking snake btw!

It sure is.What locale?Mo.?
Yes she is MO locale. Southwest MO. Jasper County to be specific. I am going to be breeding her to my albino this spring. Which brings me to a question. Is the "black" phase dominant? as in say you bred a jet black to a more brownish black rat. Which is more likely to come through? I am not sure if I should label the babies as "jet black het. albino" or just "het. albino".

Not sure about that.I think it may just be a local thing. You would almost have to keep a few to see how they darken up when matured.Good luck.
That's great.
There is something special about finding the animals close to home like that!!!!
I have an wild Eastern Milk that lives under the concrete pad of my snake shed. It's a real joy to occasionally see it.
