cricket larvae?

simonsays Jul 14, 2006 10:03 PM

i haven't visited in a while and have a quick question. i keep my leo's crickets in one of those 'cricket keepers' that will house about 150 of them at a time. when i fed simon today, i noticed some tiny greyish white looking 'worms'. is it possible that they are cricket larvae? or something else that could potentially be harmful for my leo? all advice welcome....

Those are a type of beetle larvae, completely harmless.

how the crap did they get in my cricket cage?!? so do i need to get rid of them or are they ok to basically leave alone? are they ok to feed to my leo?

They actually will help keep your cricket cage clean, they eat leftovers and dead crix, I'd leave 'em. I've fed them to reptiles before with no problems.
