I'm not going to breed them next year (even if I manage to get them large enough) as I don't think it is worth the risk to breed a female the first year she is ready, though I might brumate them this winter if I can get some more meat on the female.
Anyway - not much of a point, just showing the interesting contrast between the two specimens.
The male is WC redding locale, the female is either WC sacramento locale or escaped product of captive breeding.
I prefer the banding of the male, but I'm just in love with the light brown coloration of the female, including her head.
