Congrats Tom, looks nice. Looks like keeping projects secret isn't going to work very long.

Congrats Tom!!

Can't wait to see it out of the egg!

Is it a Hyperstriper/Cyclone ball or is it something new?

I was right! The cat is out of the bag! This was my theory when anthony posted his a few days ago

joshhutto Jul 15, 2006 05:25 PM

if this is a correct theory, I'M SOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY!!!!! If this cross is caused by a vanilla the demand just soared. The YB Superstripe is by far one of the hottest crosses out there, it's a genetic stripe kicked up 2 notches. Now I know what I need to pic up in Daytona, can anyone say YB females . And just think about it, my vanilla came out of a completely striped clutch (the stripe isn't a marker for vanilla's), if his stripe is genetic, that is another whole market. GOTTA LOVE BALL PYTHONS!!!!!

"If this cross is caused by a vanilla the demand just soared."

Lets not turn the Vanilla ball into a $100,000.00 animal just yet

It wasn't a proven Thunder that produced the Super Stiper.
It might be that she is. There are similarities, and a very cool snake. She's an import I got back in 2001. But if I really thought she was actually a Thunder I would have put my proven male Thunder on her trying to strike Lightning.
So for now the verdict's not in.
I'd love it if it turns out that Thunder x Yellowbelly = Super Stripe. I'd be sitting on a gold mine, but I can't sell Thunders guaranteed to produce Super Stipes just yet.
As for the siblings of this SS, those genitics will line up real sweet with YB!
thnx
Tom

Tom, Nice snake and glad to see more out there. When one guy had them it was his price and now 3 almost 4 people with them and should make it more affordable for everyone congrats , now hit the HardRock and see if the lucky streak is still there?

cypresscreek Jul 15, 2006 11:15 PM

Thank's

That's not a bad idea. I think I might just do that. I've been kicking ass at poker lately!

joshhutto Jul 16, 2006 01:04 AM

I didn't say the price of them would soar, just the demand. In this market of supply and demand, if the demand is higher than the supply the price will rise. A perfect example of this is the clown. 4yrs ago you could pic up clowns for 5k, now look at the price.

I will be the first to say, the vanilla/thunder is not the hottest looking morph out there. However the super is one of the best and one of the very few that get sooooo much better with age. In this market, morphs gain and loose popularity by the influence they have with other morphs. If the vanilla is the other gene behind the YB SS, it will undoubtably go to the must have category in most collections. The YB SS is by far 10 times nicer than the clark genetic stripe and if anyone disagree's, look at Jared's 04 and 05 produced animals that will correct that misconception.

Do I hope the vanilla proves to be the missing link, d@mn straight, but even if it doesn't, the crosses that will come out in the next couple of years will still blow peoples minds away and make you drool.

One last thing, if the vanilla isn't the missing link in the YB SS, then you are looking at less than a dozen people with the vanilla morph in their collections, making it still a very wise investment for the years to come.

Secret schmecret, eh?......lol

Biiiiig congratulations!

That is too nice.

I KNEW we'd see more of 'those' in 2006.

By 'those' I mean striped Balls with an uncanny resemblance to Jared's Super Stripes.

I wonder how many more folks will hatch them this year???
Time will tell I guess.

Congrats again!

joshhutto Jul 15, 2006 08:48 PM

so Jared, are you gonna post pics of the original female that produced the first YB Superstripe? And are the guesses correct that it is a YB x Vanilla cross that produces this awesome morph? Let us all know, or at least give us a little more of an idea.
