give him his dark leafy greens every single day for the rest of his life

yes give him his greens every day, how old is he? when they are babies they should be given crickets 3 times daily as much as they will eat in 10 mins, when they are adults you can feed him proteins every other day, but greens should still be offered daily.

my dragon is probably around 5-6 months n i got him last night so the guy gave me a dozen crickets to feed the dragon but on a full day do i have to feed it a dozen crickets those 3 times every day at this age?

Dragons at that age will eat 50-75 crickets a day. I suggest ordering crickets from www.reptilefood.com or another place online so you can buy them in bulk. They sell 1000 for 9 bucks. If you don't you'll be at the pet store daily buying crickets and spending way to much money for them. I wish you would have read up a bit on them, and what is needed to raise them properly. Pet stores will tell you anything to get you to go home with a pet.
