Asian Hognose: Pseudoxenodon bambusicola

Oxyrhopus Jul 15, 2006 08:00 PM

Here is a snake that is similiar to the hognose family from Asia, Pseudoxenodon bambusicola, commonly termed Bamboo Snake or False Cobra.

I have a small breeding colony and they feed on southern toads and have yet to breed. They flair their necks and rear-up like American hognoses and Xenodons, but have yet to see them flop over pretending to be dead.
