a few Q's about mack snows?

bluetreefingers Jul 15, 2006 11:48 PM

ive always been really interested in hypo tangs and albinos. but until recently i began to pay some attention to the mack snows.
what is the difference between a mack snow, super mack snow, and a line bred snow? ive seen geckos labeled all three of these names, but i cant figure out the difference.
what happens when mack snows are bred together? do the offspring show their parents traits?

any help would be greatly appreciated. plus if anyone knows sited that go over this morph in detail, it would be great.

thanks
aaron

I don't personally work with mack snows but the way I understand it the difference between the three are as follows someone correct me if I am wrong or am using the wrong terminology.

A mack snow is the co dominant form of the mack super snow. Think of it kinda of as the het form of the Mack Super Snow, except you can tell by its appearance that it is a mack snow. As for the color (I'm color blind so this is a tough morph for me) Its whiter but not a pure white allmost more yellowish?

The Mack Super Snow is a pure black and white gecko with solid black eyes.

A line bred snow is just as it sounds. A whiter colored gecko that has been selectively bred to be whiter. Kinda like how tangerines are leopard geckos selectively bred to be oranger.

Not sure if all that is right but hope it helps some.
