A couple '05 corns.

These snakes belong to my wife. I have never liked any odd color or pattern morphs until she started getting into corns. Now I can't get enough.

I think both these snakes are spectacular.

This is a fluorescent female. The snake looks just like it does in the picture, just a tad less contrasty. An unbelievable looking snake, and gets prettier with every shed. She stole this snake in part of a three for $50.00 deal.

This is another female beauty IMO. This was sold to her as an amel motley. The snake looks exactly like it is pictured. To me, it is lighter then a normal amel, almost like all the reds are faded oranges. We were hoping to get experts' opinions.

thanx for looking.

I agree those are some nice snakes but ,the hypo looks amal. to me.A hypo has some black in it's pupil, your,s looks like it has red eyes.A crimson is form of hypo.

I hear ya, but I never said hypo.

I agree with you. The motley is an amel, but isn't it different in the faded orange as apposed to red in the saddles?

Thanx for the input.

Hey, I haven't ever written on this forum before but, to me the "Amel motley" is in fact an Amel. Amel corn snakes vary widely in coloration. If you look at enough pictures of them you will know what I mean. Nice snakes though.

Check the stomach of the "amel motley" is it checkered or just plain white? If it is white then it is motley. I would say that the snake in question is a creamsicle (emoryi X guttatus) which turns the reds into more of an orange.
