Baby Pics,

Sunshine Jul 16, 2006 10:36 PM

Hello Everyone,

Today I took pics of my entire litter of BRB's. 13 of 15 ate their first meal today. This entire litter is pretty consistent in markings and color at this point. of course, within every litter there are a few that say "Keep Me, keep me". Not planning on doing that....unless I change my mind. First three are my favorites.

I am about 90% certain I will sell them all off wholesale again this year to a local guy who will meet the price and the major factor of consideration for me is the not having to sex and ship them at 100 degrees in Lubbock. This fall I will most likely try to sell several sub-adults if I can decide which ones. I will run an ad on KS. Unfortunately I have never been to any reptile show and have no immediate plans to do so.

Thanks for your interest.

You’re NOT keeping ANY???? You’re out of your mind . You know, I've been lurking here lately, just checking out everyone’s pictures, and I have to say that compared to a lot of the posters on this forum my BRB's a very mediocre . Linda, yours are some of the best I've seen this year, you should be very proud of them.....and after your done being proud of them you should ship all of the females to me!

Thanks Chris,

The more I look at them the happier I am. I am amazed how this is the nicest (and smallest) litter this pairing has produced. I wonder how there can be such diversity from one year to the next. Maybe the odds are just different with a smaller litter? Who knows....if someone does know please tell me.

I am 90% convinced on keeping one.

Congratulations on your newest group of babies…
.....I am looking into the Size of rainbowboa litters as well. I think that it depends on the size and number of ova at ovulation. My females are having smaller litters of LARGER babies this year. Maybe I did something slightly different. Dr. Ford at UT TYLER is studying this as well.

If you have weight measurements for the litter, I would love to see it... I would guess that the overall weight is similar to the larger litters of years past…

That is my first choice although I like 6 too. I'm going to wait for their shed before committing my other 10%.

BTW did you ever get a temp gun? If you don't have one contact me and I'll send you a used basic working one for SASE because I have 3.

paulbuck Jul 19, 2006 12:42 AM

Linda,
I got a Raytek MiniTemp about a year ago I think. It is an invaluable tool. Its been baking here in Sacramento and the thermostat in our new (well, new to us) home crapped out. I'm shooting my babies continuously. Always something.
