Eastern Milk...Frederick Co. MD

mgl Jul 16, 2006 11:35 PM

This one was saved from a skimmer in a pool a few years back. The coloration is amazing, more red then some specimens. I kept easterns about 3-4 years ago and produced some striped ones but gave up the project with picky feeders. The parents were all normal looking.

Thats a good looker.Typical of the area?
I'm having a problem keeping a water bowl in with mine. They spill it every time.Going to put small boxes in for hides tonight.I'm using cardboard paper towel rolls right now and they keep spilling and soaking them.

Thanks. To be honest, I've only ever seen one other eastern milk in this area and it was darker so I have only 2 comparisons. A suggestion for the water dish would be to use a deli cup with the lid and a hole in the top to crawl down into in order to drink. Another suggestion would be to use a spill dish...sort of a dish within a dish so when water is spilled it is trapped in the bigger surrounding dish and doens't soil the cage.

Just some friendly suggestions.
thanks
