I'd love to try, but sea snakes are the only reptiles that are not allowed in Florida under an invasive aquatic species law... Zoos can theoretically get them under strict conditions with a $1,000,000 letter of credit (males only).
a friend of mind who owns a import tropical fish business that get fish from indio and the phillipinnies say he can get them but they don't do good in capitivity.i didn't know that you cannot have them in florida cause i live in miami .
Make sure you show this to your friend. Most people probably don't know about this, and he would be in violation if he imported them.
o.k. thanks. they are cheap to buy less than 20 bucks.
OK... At this point I suspect he was actually talking about tentacled snakes...a fresh-water, aquatic snake that IS legal in Florida. Is that possible? They are said to be hard to keep, but they are not sea snakes, not venomous and not banned...
