heat bulbs

beachbeardies Jul 17, 2006 06:16 PM

i am currently using basic house bulbs, 60-100 watt soft white bulbs for my heat bulbs. they work great and are cheap but the only problem i have with them is when i take pictures of my dragons it seems like the light bulbs are causing the pictures to turn very yellowish and not come out right. i was wondering if anyone out there finds a different brand to be better or using a different type of bulbs

youy may want to try Exo Terra, they make a good basking light that is a natural "day glow" and has a blueish ting to it, which may inturn cut down on the yellowing in your pictures. They are relatively inexpensive and are cheaper than the Zoo-med brand.
