I live less than an hour away. I have found the advertised prices to be even higher. Normally, I have already made a purchase and I'm there for pickup. You can get good deals but if it is good, it goes quick. Or you can wait to the last day and last hour of the show and some will cut you a good deal. I primarily go to Daytona to see all the cool animals in person and visit with friends.

Last day, last hour is the only way I have been able to get really good prices. Even then if your looking for something high dollar or rare they may still not make a deal with you. Definitely don't be afraid to make an offer, when they see the cash in your hand sometimes you get lucky.

I have found it funny that people are complaining that prices are shown on the KS ads because it is low balling the MARKET. In reality the prices actually being paid at the shows are usually 50-75% of the LOW prices on KS. Why do you think they are getting upset? Becuase even at those "I will never sell mine for that price!" prices, the ads stay on KS FOREVER. Why because the people complaining are still snagging a few suckers for website advertised prices while behind the scenes are selling for the bulk of thier animlas at show prices or even lower.

Bottom line. Go with cash and loiter around the animals you want. See what they are actually selling them for and make an offer lower than you are actually willing to pay, that way when they come back with a counter offer it is near what you are wanting to pay. As far as supply and demand, Daytona is going to be very heavy on the supply side...so make your offers based on what is still on all the tables, not what the sticker price says.

Good Luck

Don't even have to hang around the table, just sit at the bars in the Hilton. TONS of "deals" to be had there. ALOT of people have animals up in their rooms that don't have tables, last year that's all I did was went from room to room, back to the bar and then room to room and then hotel to motel!! Best part if ya ask me!!

There are many deals to be had both at the very beginning of the show, during, and specially at the end. Just go with cash and make offers on what you want. All they can say is no if they don't like your offer or come back with a counter offer. I purchase animals at all different times through the show and get great deals. But yes also you can get even better deals in the Bar and such at the Hilton and the Mayan Inn. There are deals to be had but you gotta work for some of them.

it's not a deal when you get $300 dollars taken off the price of the snake when you have to buy $500 worth of drinks, lol. But anyway, Daytona is THE SHOW to go to if you are going to go to an out of town show. The best breeders for all species are going to be there. Even if you don't buy anything, just looking at some of the beauties that are there is worth the trip.
