Heya All,

My boyfriend and I have finally come to the consensus that we should in fact get another Uro!!! I got my Mali at the Reptile Show in Missisauga in April. I know there is another one coming up, but does anyone know (can vouch) for breeders in the GTA? Or does anyone know about policy regarding having lizards shipped from the US to Canada? I know already of the Reptile Store in Port Credit and will not buy from them... Any suggestions?

i would ask around from some of the internet people, i can vouch for doug dix (deerfernfarms.com), and linday pike (urotopia.com), and hopefully i will have success with my new purchase i havent gotten her yet from reptiledepot.com.
I would ask if they can ship to canada, they arent harmful so i wouldnt think it would be a huge issue. Ask around, lindsay usually gives quick responses ask him.

I emailed Lindsay and she filled me in on the shipping policies. Apparently the fees attached to shipping captive bred reptiles across the border are prohibitively high and the whole process is not really worthwhile unless you import a large number of animals. As much as I wouldn't mind a half-dozen clutches of my own.... (sigh)

I originally bought my mali from Cindy the Reptilewoman in the GTA. She no longer breeds them but she might be able to provide you with some names of reputable uro breeders. I hope to be for a few years yet.
