Press x2: Comparison of attitude

Jul 18, 2006 10:44 AM

Dear Boa-people;
I try not to editorialise on press items, particularly within the 'specialist forums' where people know more about the specific critter than I do.
However, please take note of the two different editorial slants taken by two different press organisations in regards to the ferocity of 'Boas in the public venue'.
By the way ... what's the Boa morph depeicted by the photo that goes with the UK item URL please? (smiley here).
Cheers and respects,
Wes, your forum paperboy

WOOD (Grand Rapids, Michigan) 18 July 06 Farmington Hills man charged for putting 6-foot boa in mailbox
Farmington Hills, Mich: A suburban Detroit man says he thought it was just a joke when he put a pet six-foot boa constrictor in his mailbox to startle a mail carrier.
Now it could bring him up to six months in federal custody.
Thirty-one-year-old auto mechanic James Mell of Farmington Hills says it was a stupid practical joke.
Mell put the snake in his mailbox July seventh to surprise mail carrier Nakeema Anderson.
He later wrote her a letter of apology.
The snake doesn't bite or attack people.
