toxicogenic Jul 18, 2006 03:20 PM

this is out of curiosity. my friend has two juvie green iguanas. they both have mbd cause she got them like that from someone else....supposedly theyve been that size for a year and have not grown an inch. they eat fine and everything. now my question is...they havent grown because of the mbd..right? if not then can they possibly be a subspecies? also is there such thing as a GIANT green iguana? she says there is...its an ongoing debate.... thanks

There are variations in different traits in the green iguana due to where they originated. It's similiar to humans. Some humans grow larger than others but they are all humans. As far as Giant Green Iguana, it is another name for the green iguana because they can grow to 5-6 and even 7 feet.
