Axanthic from pastel x axanthic?

jpman78 Jul 18, 2006 09:10 PM

Here are some updated pics of the axanthic (possibly pastel axanthic) from breeding a lemon pastel male from Tony Hurt to an SK line Axanthic female from the Sutherlands. Something weird definately happend here....can't wait for her/him to leave the egg to find out if it's a pastel axanthic.

Pastels have a large amount of white on their lips, and it passes the top of the heat pits...it is shown on ALL pastels...even black pastels

by looking at the pics that you have provided it does not hace white heaat pits and it does not have a blushing head....I would have to say that it is not a pastel

I beleve that you should breed the two that produce these next year and see if it is possible to do agian

You are right.
I was comparing the pattern/coloring to the nerd pastel axanthic pics on their site and wasn't looking at the lips/heatpits.

learn something new everyday. Still have to get to the bottom of where this little guy/girl came from

Thanks!
John
