Let me know what you think about my set up. What I need what I need to change. I have paper towels as the beding this seems to be the easyest thing. I have a Plastic bowl with a cut out in to and some wet paper towels for a humid hide. on the hot side. Then a black house on the cool side with the water bowl. Then I have a Football holder thing and a plastic plant for looks. I am using a 100w bulb. O and its a 10 gallon tanks. Here are some pics.
First here is the little guy.

here is the humid hid (the tap is to keep it on. I made sure that the edges weren't sharp.)

here is a big picture.

Do you think the light is to Close?

Also I got some meal worms for him. Should I put them in a bowl they can't get out of (if so what do you use?) or just put them in there by him? Any help or any messages would be GREAT! Thanks its my First LEO baby so I wana do the best for him!

ditch the light! 100w is way to high and bright lights stress them out. If you want to use a light use a red bulb. Get an under tank heater. They need belly heat. You need to check your temps. Mid 70's on one end mid to upper 80's on the hot side. Don't use a bowl like the one you have water in as a meal worm dish, they will crawl right out. Find one that is smooth. Petco carries good ones, they are hand panited. I've only ever had one or two escapees with those bowls. If you just put mealie in the cage and he doesn't eat them right away, they will find nice hiding places under the paper towels. The only sharp edges you need to worry about are the ones around the hole you cut out. Not sure what the football thingy is for. good luck.

I agree. Otherwise it's a good set-up. Oh, but don't forget a calcium dish in there. What I do, is I use exactly the same kind of dish that Becky described coming from PetCo(The super smooth, hand painted ones) and I keep calcium in there, plus put the mealworms in there. This way, they'll sometimes ingest a bit of calcium as they eat the mealies, which I find has worked great for my geckos. Good luck with your new gecko and set-up!

there is no more huge light I have a nice heating pad under it and its keeping it perfect temps for the little guy. I haven't gotten around to getting a little bowl for him yet but he eats them so fast they dont get a chance to hide.
