Opened Egg

DrBossk Jul 19, 2006 09:52 PM

I have a clutch that is getting really close to the 2 month mark. This is my first clutch and so I lack in experience. Today I found an egg that had mold on it so I removed it. It popped on me as the shell was weakened. The baby was still alive so I put it back in the incubator on paper towels in its own container. The yolk sac that was left has fallen off and the little guy is running around. That surprised me. I want to know if I should do anything special for the early bird or just follow normal baby protocol. Any tips as to when to set him up in a regular enclosure... when would he start eating? Thanks guys, I appreciate the help.

Hi
you can already offer very small cricks not bigger then the space between the eyes.
also mist them couple times a day.
i also got a molded egg last time .
i dith this.......take some Ttree oil with emulator so it solf in water.
then i used a qtip what you use for youre ears ,sorry am dutch ,
and remove the mold .
then after 1 week every day mold removing with T tree oil the molding stopt.
it only gave little black spot on egg.
and it stil hatched .
i have take the egg out the clutch and separete it ,just in case the spores would travel to the other eggs.
