First Clutch Ever Has Been Layed!

renland Jul 19, 2006 10:42 PM

My friend and I are finally the proud parents of 19 (hopefully) good eggs! It is our first clutch, and we were getting anxious that our female dragon was becoming eggbound as she was bred about two months ago and was still not showing any interest in digging/nest preparation. Finally, last night she deposited her eggs and, miraculously, she regained her girlish figure! Lol. All of them were of good size and had visable red veins. If all goes well, we will have some very happy friends that have been waiting for a baby beardie. Just wanted to share our excitement!

Oh, I also had a question for you seasoned breeders...is it common for eggs to be attatched? We have two sets of eggs that are attatched to each other via a fine cord. Is this normal? We were afraid to separate them for fear that it could damage them. Any input is appreciated!
