DaveB....Pit incubation time??

Warren Jul 20, 2006 02:19 AM

Hi dave,

In a earlier post you said you incubate your Pit eggs at 75 - 78 degrees F. I was just wondering, how long does it take the eggs to hatch at this temp?

Thanks!!

At those temps I have hatchlings between 68 and 76 days. That has been my experience for northern, black and Louisiana pines.
I have had very good success within those parameters.
There are people on the forum who produce many more pines than I do, it would be interesting to compare incubation temperature and duration records.
