Funky Looking Ball

andreaqueen Jul 20, 2006 02:10 PM

I picked this guy up last week. He has a very busy pattern and a weird green hue showing through on his scales. The coolest feature of all is the color around his mouth, He has black lip lining. It kinda reminds me of Alice Cooper or Marylyn Manson. Any way I thought I would share a few pics to see what opinions are out there. I don't think it could be genetic, more than likely it had to do with incubation temps but he is cool none the less.

I'm not saying that he/she is genetic, but wouldn't hurt breeding him to see whether or not he is. With the look of the belly, the overall melanistic(dark color) appearance, and the black moustache, who knows, less dramatic appearances have yielded some incredible homozygous morphs, such as VPI's "Spotnose".

Anyhow don't think he's not genetic until you have proven otherwise, call him a normal, but breed him next season and see what ya hatch out, if nothing that looks like dad, then keep a daughter and breed her back to him when she's of age.

Good luck,
Dan

I would not be too quick to dismiss him as normal either. That belly is definitely different(Gary will love it).

Yeah that is one crazy stomach....

Breed it, if nothing, then breed it back....if nothing at least you got some good breeding experience under you. Cant lose either way.
