What is this little mystery animal?

boaphile Jul 20, 2006 07:56 PM

What is this little mystery animal? This is a top view of him:

Notice he has widows peaks going all the way up and down and his saddles are wider than the light areas between them. He is trying to make that pattern connect as much as possible. I think he wants to be something more than just another het or possible het for Albino. Very weird...

Side view of his right side:

and his left side:

Look how bright his little eyes are. Isn't HE, yes he is a he, isn't he cute?

This is the first time I have seen anything quite like him though I have produced a few animals from this bloodline. Probably close to 2000 from this bloodline actually. First one I have seen like this one. Has anyone else gotten anything else like this from the Kahl Albino bloodline? I have bred his mother several times before and his father a couple times too. This was the first time to each other though...

By the way, there were 35-40 babies in the litter. They are still in the birth cage. All but him that is and the Albino siblings.

So what do I have here?

never know what you are going to get. That little male is super nice. That pattern would make a smokin' albino!!! Let a new project begin. I bought a female with the exact same pattern and the same sweet tail. Only problem was that after I had her home for a couple months she began leaving sperm plugs. A quick flip of the tail to sex her (I mean him) would have been too simple. Live and learn. You would think a breeder would double check an adult before he sold him, but mistakes happen. I should have kept him anyway, but there are plenty of males here.

a Harding line pastel bred by the man himself. She is growing slowly, but should be ready next year. Here is a head shot of her and a Central American Tiger taken inside. She looks much better under natural light (i.e. the other pic)!!!

with very little color. Just clean and light. Her saddles were very faded as well. Those kids you have have more contrast than she did. They look like they will color up nicely though.

female. Those are a couple smokers you have. Nice, heavy markings, and that striper (reverse stripe?) is a knockout. You should get some new pics of that girl. Or send her here and I'll snap a few for you. Of course my charge for the pics will be the boa. Sounds fair to me.

What ever he is he definitly looks nice. He reminds me of a lighter phase motley, well with some speckling to him. Any how can't wait to find out some more.

Looks as though the Motleys and the Aztecs are conspiring to create a new race.

Aztecs come to mind, some characteristics are similar to Arabesques. I guess it could be an Aztec though??? That is, if it HAD to be id'd as a current morph. May just have been a fluke.

I have seen a few hets and possible hets like that, but they have come from the Argentine crosses. So the pattern was explained by the Argentine influence.

Very interesting feller ya got there jeff. Was the rest of the litter that dark? It's so cool when something special like that pops up. RUSS
