Robotchicken Jul 20, 2006 08:46 PM

i was wondering what would be the best small caiman? i know there dwarfs and speckled, also i was wondering if i could build an outdoor pen to house him/her in once it gets big? im looking for the smallest one so my mom wont freak out :P so i was thinking a female dwarf caiman, heard they only get 3 feet. thanks!

Yeah the female dwarf is the smallest. you want to get a palpabrosus not a triganatus. the outdoor pen sounds cool too but it depends on where you live. if its illegal you dont want neighbors seeing it. i live in new york. mine is obviously illegal so i have to keep it hidden inside. if you get a dwarf caiman its most likely going to have to be dewormed. i did it myself after finding worms in the tank. i can talk you thru that too if needed. everything turned out fine that was about 6 months ago and no more worms.
