Ovulation Feb 5...no babies yet...???

bsaffron Jul 21, 2006 01:41 AM

Hi Everyone.

Im confused why I dont have any babies yet. Both females that I breed seemed to do very well during copulation and I have very strong reason to believe I witnessed an outstanding ovulation by this red hypo as the picture illustrates.

Heres my big normal girl the same day when I thought she was ovulating as well. Hers doesnt seem to be as obvious except for the fact that I never see her stretched out like this and in person she seemed to be more swollen than usual so I thought she was ovulating.

Both these pics were taken Feb 5. Its my understanding that if they ovulate then they are obligated to dropp something...slugs or live or both....but no turning back from carrying something. Am I right?

more than an ovulation to me. Ovulations are more centralized like they swallowed a football. It happens to us all at some time so hang in there and try again next year. The best thing you can do is leave the male in there for as long as possible to make sure things are complete. Good luck!

That looks like a pre-ovulation to me as well. And good advice....I think the leading cause of unsuccessful breedings in healthy adults is not leaving the male in long enough.
