WHAT I FOUND WHEN I GOT HOME FROM WORK!

rkreptiles Jul 21, 2006 05:16 PM

This is what I found when I arrived home from work. This is a truly weird mind boggling clutch. This is a breeding of a male Pastel 66% pos het Ghost to a Female Pastel 50% pos het ghost. She laid this clutch of 6 eggs (all look viable with good veining) at day 92 after her first POS which is also 73 days after her second POS. We have been racking our minds with what has been going on with this girl as we knew she was gravid but could not understand how she was so late. Well hell who knows the eggs might just hatch within days of being laid since they have been inside her for so long. (J/K on them hatching now).

I am going to really keep my fingers crossed on this clutch. The possibilities could be AWESOME!!, Normals, Pastels, Super Pastels, Ghost, Pastel Ghost, or even SUPER PASTEL GHOST!(now thats what I am wishing for).

did you feed her during all this confusion? i am going through like the same thing right now with my normal girl and i am being told feed her no dont feed her etc..

She refused food long before she ovulated and did not show any interest untiol today about 15 minutes after I removed the eggs. I washed her and offered her a small rat and she snapped it up. I will offer her more throughout the weekend. I am one that if they will feed I will feed them. I had another female who laid an 8 egg clutch earlier this season that fed up until about 3 weeks before she laid and started again within minutes of laying.

Awesome! Keep us posted on when they hatch. I'm curious to see if they go the full 30 days.
