Kingsnake egg question???

mikeyburnss Jul 21, 2006 05:41 PM

My king dropped her eggs lastnight, I was not home till later the following day to place them in the incubator and they are slightly dented... My question is, is this common? What should I do to make them come back out? Do I spray the verm. aswell as having water in the bottom? How long will it take for these dents to come out? I am using a hova bator, I have the 2 rows filled with water for the humidty, the eggs are in vermiculite and it is at 82 deg. Thanks a bunch.

wet a clean paper towel and lay it over the dented eggs.. the towel should be touching the dented eggs.

If the eggs are good they will swell back up in a day or two..

good luck!

Mike is right lay a damp paper towel over them. They don't sound too far gone. I had some I found after a two week vacation and they were shriveled and hard as a rock and they came back and still hatched.

Great, will do. Should I also spray the vermiculite? Thanks for all the help.
