I have a new dragon that refuses to eat. I have tried everything, it has been about 5 days now. I saw him eat 1 piece of lettuce but nothing else, no crickets at all. Any advice is appreciated!

He lives in tank with 2 girls slightly smaller than him. He is on my patio, so he has plenty of humidity, temps in the tank are 85 to 108. He has a UVB light and a heat lamp. He will not eat crickets and if he is eating any pellets or romaine it is when I am not around.
Thanks.
I was able to force him to eat crickets this morning. I opened his mouth a bit and shoved an end of the cricket in there and then he would take it. I had to open his mouth each time but I got him to eat about 8 crickets this way. Hope he'll be okay, I'm definitely feeling better.

I have one I am having to hand feed right now too, mine is about 5 weeks old
He has been on a mix I use in these rare situations. I also got him to eat a few crix today and am thrilled. First crix in days!!!
Seems like they don't have the energy to chase them down, but as soon as they taste it in the edge of their mouths, they start to chomp down.
GOOD LUCK TO YOU and I hope we both have a happy ending.

You have to be careful with keeping male and female together. When he gets old enough to breed he is going too. Males dragons are always looking to breed and they can really hurt the females. Another thing is maybe the females are stressing him out. There is always a dominant dragon in a cage and even though he is male he's with larger females that could dominate him. I would split them up if I was you. Another thing is the humidity dragons are from the desert and humidity can cause respiratory problems. Keeping them out side is dangerous especially if they are in a glass or plastic cage. They act like a green house and you can come home to a baked dragon if kept like that. I would really consider changing these things I said above. If the male is not eating I would feed him separately and double check those temps. Take them during the hottest part of the day, it might be getting way to hot for them.
