Red Foots & Leopards & humidity level?

tortugapuravida Jul 22, 2006 01:13 AM

I currently own a leopard, but am also interested in getting a red foot one day. Is it possible to keep leopards and red foots in the same room with there separate tanks next to each other? I know that they need different humidity levels.

How about if they are kept outside? Can they live in the same kind of climates, despite their differing native environments?

Thanks,
Mariam

First let me say, I am not an expert. I have a leopard and a red foot. I keep them in different rooms. I also keep the redfoot's humidity level much higher than the leopards. I also have an iguana in which I am building a huge enclosure for in a seperate room. When it is finished, he and redfoot will be upstairs and I will be able to put humidifiers in that room. the leopard, sulcata and indian star are going to be kept downstairs in a dryer environment. I don't think you should house them together b/c you can really tell when redfoot gets too dry. And likewise, Leopold doesn't enjoy it when the humidity gets to high. But you can do it in the same house with humidifiers.
