5 Egg Clutch From Spider to Normal? No S

NewDimReps Jul 22, 2006 02:01 AM

No spider all eggs were good. I have heard of bad odds but from a Normal to Co dom and nothing ? About half the clutch does have weird noses and silverish eyes and light spots on the head Those half are extremley bright the black border arond patteren is vibrant. Could thier have been some gene in the female that threw off the spider gene. Im at a lose for words I have heard of bad odds but to not produce on spider in a clutch of 5 eggs is crazy. Ill post a pic of hatchlings. Any info would be great.

It happens all the time. I've also heard of 10 eggs hatching all pastels or spiders. The more clutches you hatch the closer you'll be to hatching 50:50. It sucks when it happens, but you'll be happy when the fall the other way.

Love to see the odd babies.

It would be a 1 in 32 shot of going 5 for 5 either hitting all or missing all one a 50/50 shot like this. So, maybe you are just the unlucky 1 in 32.

But do post pics. Maybe the odd ones are genetic spider that are particularly normal looking for some reason.

I would think that a "bad spider" would still be distinguishable from a normal. Remember spider is a codominant gene, so if you have a het codominant spider it is expressing the spider and the normal gene. You can't have a hidden spider, but you could have crappy ones, but I am sure you would be able to id them from a normal. Just as the others said though, show some pics

He is the only one with any smarts among you tards. There are no bad codom genes. What is up with you people?? There is either a gene or there is not. Have you not gone through high-school biology?? You guys are idiots. Bad codom genes? Jesus-good-god-almighty. The only bad gene is with you idiots. Only stupid people are breeding. Stop perpetuating. Oh, post a pic so we can see what a bad codom gene looks like. Just kill me now!!

I would say bad odds was Corey breeding his lesser to a red axanthic female and getting no lesser het reds, just regular het reds. Basically same as you but he got more eggs, 7 or 8 I think. It happens, not enough ball python god worship I guess
