The snake has a light off white belly.
Red and Black patterns on the back and small yellow dots. I live in Florida and found it in a ouddle of water in my back yard. I live close to a large body of water. Thanks

From your description, it does not sound venomous. It does sound like a young Florida water snake. A picture will certainly clear things up. The attached link may help clear things up for you as far as identifying Florida's venomous snakes. ~~Greg~~
