I agree with you. This place only has a few people posting and no where the interest it used to have.

Lately I have tried to set up some interesting coversations and informative posts. But there are some trolls who keep trying to shut these discussions down. Of course these trolls only show up once in awhile and don't really violate any of the TOS. So what can anyone do about it?

Its a zillion times faster then herps. I mean, your herps do stuff very slowly, like once or twice a year.
How long does it take to post whats new with any keeper here? Less then a day, I suppose. I mean, a few minutes here and there.

Once something is posted it becomes old hat. So again, posting something new is rare, then its only new for a few minutes.

Also, while pics are great, it seems like the same people posting the same pics over and over.

Lastly, the seperating of the forums is not a good idea. I mean, a kingsnake is a kingsnake. My goodness, theres not much difference in keeping any kind of kingsnake. So why are they seperated? to make a whole bunch of slow forums instead of one normal one. Cheers

That is a good point the separation based on Ssp. i didn't even know there were Gray band mutations till about a week ago and they've been around for a while!... it would be nice for all kings to be under one forum, at least i wouldn't get pissed when i come here at 9am then 10pm and see the same 2-4 posts.

Just an observation. I visit a number of "non-herp" type forums. Most of those are also running very slow.

Your posts are often extremely informative and enjoyable to read.

One thing that would be nice - it would be nice if they would get the podcasts going on a regular basis, and I'd love it (don't know if you would) if they would do an interview with you about your nesting box technique and observations.

Maybe getting the podcasts in a somewhat regular release schedule would attract some new herpers to the forums.

Perhaps some of the finer equipment supply shops could help fund it in exchange for an advertisement attached to the podcast or something.
