Hi Guys,

I just got two of these guys with one more in route, judging by the number of ads on kingsnake, they are pouring in from Russia right now . . .

I'm curious how people are "sexing" them, I haven't read anything to lead me to believe there is a good way, nor have a found any dealer that believes they can tell . . .

Also, I'm looking for an article on them that was published in the Reptile and Aphibian hobbyist Aug. 1999. Would anyone have this back issue or know an online resource for finding it . . . ebay has failed me! LOL

I would also be curiou as to whether or not anyone has had any luck breeding them . . .

Thanks,
Nicole

Nicole,

I just got a pair myself a few weeks ago. Males are generally longer and more robust than females. my male is a broader head and some reddish spots on his back; the female is smaller but her overall coloration is brigher than his.
