Lightning Strikes Thrice!

cypresscreek Jul 23, 2006 01:53 PM

Just hatched this morning. 2.1 Lightnings! Out of 9 eggs.
The over exposed pic is to give you a good idea of how they will look after 3 or 4 sheds.
thnx
Tom
PS...I've never taken a photo of these things that even comes close to showing what they really look like. If you what to see what Lightnings are about I'll have these and the one I produced last year at Daytona,
See you there
Tom

those pictures do them no justice. when i first saw the adult vanilla that gulf coast had. i was in love. i have a bunch of the common codoms and they are all nice and everything, but yours and chris and sheila's should just make every other morph out there incredible when crossed.
it will almost be like working with a simple recessive trait in the amount of time it takes to get the super form, because well the thunder and regular vanilla are kind of blah, but who cares when the super looks the way it does. just the super version crossed with a pastel should blow away the superpastels, and who knows what it will do to the other animals. i plan on going down to take a look at the super vanilla ghost shortly.
congrats
howard

I disagree, the het version is far from blah. Granted they are nowhere as nice as the super but they are still nice, the het version is about the subtle differences not like the super that is just WOW. And i think this year and next we will see some crosses that are not the super form but will blow your socks off. BTW this is my 04 vanilla male from GCR, he is far from blah, lol.

He is an 05 from GCR and now is over 600 grams. He wasnt ready at the beginning of the season, but has turned up the heat now. All my females that didnt take is getting a shot with him. Im hoping for just 1 clutch but by the time they hatch it might be 07. These are some older photos. He is breeding at the moment I dont want to disturb him. He keeps getting yellower and yellower. I had a bunch of morphs on my table prior to me getting the Super Vanilla. I had not one person give a serious look in my direction as far as Ball sales. When he was put in one of my displays the crowd came and I actually sold some balls. Also a side note a lot of the bigger breeders started talking to me once he was in view. Which either way doesnt effect me. I just thought it was funny what it takes to get noticed. When I picked him out he definetly was the pick on Gulf Coasts table. I havent regreted getting him one minute. My whole money made prior to that was with my geckos which people specificly look for me. Shawn

Shawn I remember that "yellow bellied male" you had on your table as of today I regreet not picking him up from you
