Here is the Common Liana Snake constricting onto an anole. She attacked at first with the mouth and when the lizard resisted and the struggle ensued, it wrapped it and chewed onto it until the lizard succumbed to the venom which took about 5 minutes. The constriction was just to hold onto the prey well enough as it chewed and she did not seem to utilize constriction as a means to overwhelm its prey - the venom did that.
