Try a Ceramic Heat Emitter (CHE) in a heat lamp from Zoo-Med or Pearlco. They work reall nice and last a lot longer than traditional heat bulbs...

I use overhead heat, however I've noticed that after I have fed him, my IJ will hangout on the bottom of his cage in his hidebox for a few days 'till he's done digesting, then come back up to his branch. Just something to think about.

I just use a heat lamp with a normal bulb, no fancy stuff here.
