constipated baby leo?

awnyerneas Jul 24, 2006 10:45 AM

I think my leo is constipated. I have not seem him use the rest room in a long time and when he does it is a small white substance. Is there anything I can do or should do?
Thanks

The small white substance is urate crystals which is normally in the urine/stool but when concentrated can come out as crystals. Try and get him/her to drink either by soaking in a shallow pan of water or offering food with a high water content. Sort of a sign of dehydration in most cases.

If a leopard is passing visible urates it is severely dehydrated. Get the little guy soaked ASAP.

How long have you had it?
