Bredli?

BOtt Jul 24, 2006 01:47 PM

Where have all the bredli gone? It seems like 2-3 years ago there were a bunch floating around Kingsnake. This year, and last (if I remember correctly) it seems as if there are hardly any being advertised. It seems that there are even fewer (if any) clutches for sale.

What's the story? Am I just blind (granted I don't really look that hard or often for them)? Less successful than years past? Less people working with them?

I've always wanted a real nice group, but there doesn't seem to be the progression recently seen with other morphs and species of carpets...

Any thoughts on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Most of the good breeders have waiting lists for thier babies, and most are sold before they can even advertise them for sale. I know of several REALLY good breeders that are hatching out some as I type. I can give you some contact info if you like, just shoot me an e-mail.

About two years ago (maybe three), one breeder got rid of something like 60 bredli at an incredibly low price, including adults if I remember correctly. That's when the price dropped from $1,500 a pair to about $500 a pair.

Now that they've become more affordable, I'd venture to say that demand for bredli is probably at an all time high.
