We hatched out these two beauties last week! Out of 5 eggs, we got 2.0 Pastel Het Red Axanthics. The sire is from the Snake Keeper - just goes to show that the Snake Keeper het reds rock!

The photos don't do them justice, especially since they haven't shed yet. The blacks are an inky black, and they have a lot of fading along their backs. We'll post more pics after they shed.

It seems like a lot of people don't know what to make of het reds, but we think they're cool with a lot of potential! We can't wait to see what a red axanthic super pastel looks like!

Wow! I didn't know that I would wake up to a little controversy! The picture I posted doesn't show all of the fading on these guys. We'll post new pics soon with the pastel het reds alongside their siblings, and we'll shoot for better lighting.

Here is the picture I promised showing a pastel het red axanthic next to a het red sib.

Those are insane looking..I didn't know what I was gonna breed my Pastel girl to this season, but I know now...She's going on my het. Red male...I just hatched out 3.1 het. Reds from the TSK line and they are all insane looking!! Good work man!!

Aren't all het reds from SK? I thought Cory bought his from SK as normal black backs before they realized what they produced?

Yes, TSK produced the first het reds. Some people were saying that TSK het reds weren't the real deal.

If those are het reds then I have some. After all I have black backs that are genetic, doesn't mean they are het reds. Yours look like really pretty black backed pastels but not pastel het reds. Has the SK actually produced a red axanthic?? Nope, I would only buy a het red from someone that actually produced a red axanthic.

Those don't look anything like the pastel het reds that I've seen???? I've only seen Corey's, and it had a bluish tinge to it no yellow really at all that I could make out?

THEY DON'T EVEN RESEMBLE THE REAL DEAL ......COREY WOODS HAS THE "ONLY " REAL DEAL HET RED PASTELS AS HE DIPLAYS IN THE PREVIOUS POST . Just my opinion ,
