north louisiana or Albuquerque?

Hello all; I am new to this forum.

Any herpers on here in North Louisiana or Albuquerque, NM? I basically am just looking for a buddy who knows the area to go observe and photograph colubrids and hot stuff with.

I am an engineer in the military and was recently re-stationed to north Louisiana at Barksdale AFB. I tried to follow some links for herp societies up here, but the links were all broken. I have sent a few emails to the contacts on the Louisiana Gulf Coast Herpetological Society page, but I have not received any replies from my emails to them.

Are you aware of any herp societies that meet up near here in/near Shreveport? I also travel frequently to Albuquerque, NM so if anyone is out there who likes to do the same, let me know.
