Freckles a Leucistic ???

a2zgraphix Aug 03, 2003 12:07 AM

This is a picture of Freckles snuggling with Lucy. I'm wanting to know if Freckles is a leucistic, I just love her washed out coloring. Thanks for any and all input!!

when people say leucistic they are usually referring to a patternless leo,
that one is broken and you should send him/her to me as soon as you can. I can fix it
thats a beauty! some would probably call it a hypo snow or reduced spotting at least.
congrats! I love that leo!

well, a leusistic is yet to be a definate morph. the original gecko dubbed leusisitic is now know as patternless, and a new morph, which may or may not be leusistic is the blizzard. i doubt the blizzard is because it can have high amounts of yellow and black, and all the other leusistic herps are pure white. yours looks to be like fritz said, a snow, or maybe a pastel.

I don't want to say snow because I do see the yellow still. Snows are hard to come by and an A quality snow is black, white and grey. Maybe a C grade snow... but stil seems like that yellow is there.

Pastels are more akin to that color...but the spots are usually a bit more grey. I have a female that's a bit brighter than that. Yours looks great tho!

And a pale one at that. Some might call her a C-grade snow, but Pastel is probably more accurate in this case. She's not a hypo.
