Yea, scares you more then it hurts... makes you jump.
I went for a long time without getting bit, until last year, and got nailed a few times when trying to clean cages... but I handle easily a few hundred snakes a week so I guess that's not bad odds.
no one likes to admit they made a mistake and got nailed!
