OK well I got it. Its about 1 1/4inches from snout to vent. IT has lots of black blothes on his neck but I didnt hear any croaking so you think itsd a male or female? Anyway I used eco earth as a substrate it seems to wrok good but its so messy would it be ok to use gravel as a substare? It wouldnt swallow any because im only feeding feeder fish and earth worms and mice . Also he ate today 2 rosy reds and now hes burrowed deep in the dirt you cant see him at all is thaT BAD? is he hibernating The temps are 77 on the cool side and 86 on warm and the humidity is 75 so everything should be ok...neway thanks for everyones help

Well, Ive had mine for about 6 months now, so my advice may not be the best, but....

I prefer eco earth and other similar substrates. I dont find it that messy really, and it doesnt really smell bed either. I replace it about once a month. My pacman also buries himself completly after a large meal, like a pinky. Ive had no luck feeding him fish, he just doesnt seem to like them. As for sexing the pacman, I have no idea. Im just guessing mine is a male.
